About the Meet:

The Adrian Martinez Classic began as a tribute to a great runner and wonderful young man, Adrian Martinez. Adrian was a champion miler at Concord-Carlilse High School, team leader, and all around great guy. The summer after he graduated from Williams College, Adrian suffered a fatal sudden cardiac arrest while playing soccer with friends (another of his great pastimes). Adrian's passing was a sad shock to all who knew him, but the Martinez Classic is a way to honor his life by doing something he truly loved: running with friends.

The Martinez Classic serves as a fundraiser for the Adrian Martinez Scholarship Fund at Concord-Carlisle High School (which is administered by the Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle), and for the Friends of CCHS Track & Field, which supports the Track & Field teams at CCHS.

The Martinez Classic offers a race for everyone - from first-timers to experienced racers. Sign up today, choose the mile race that is right for you, and get ready for a great celebration of running!

Once again, The Martinez Classic will bring the very best distance runners in the nation to Concord! The Mile races - the Adro Miles - will continue to be the showcase event of the evening.
